Join us as a project manager to help our team build great websites and web applications on time, for a wide variety of platforms and audiences.  You’ll be working with a team of skilled PHP and JavaScript developers, UX engineers, testers and systems administrators to build immersive and responsive applications for desktop and mobile applications. You’ll understand complex technical implementation detail and be equally happy talking tech with the engineering team or features with stakeholders. Your goal will be to keep everyone working efficiently towards the right strategic goal, making constant tactical decisions as requirements and resources change.

Responsibilities may include:

• Managing agile projects using Redmine
• Interpreting stakeholder requirements into well formed feature definitions
• Conducting frequent reviews with the engineers working on your projects
• Prioritising development resources to achieve targets
• Planning resource allocations and setting realistic sprint goals
• Delegating effectively to get the very best out of the skills available in the team
• Client liaison and training
• Supplier liaison and purchasing of required services

Required skills

• Familiarity and experience with a variety of project management methodologies (not a rigid belief in one over all others)
• Familiarity with a variety of project management software
• Knowledge of at least one high level programming language
• High level familiarity with the tools of web architecture, such as routers, web servers, caching proxies, CDNs, databases and message queues, and how they fit together.
• Excellent quality of written and spoken English

Desirable skills

• Commercial experience in a previous project management role
• Experience with PHP and JavaScript
• Experience with Redmine
• Experience working as a developer

Salary

We offer salaries of £30,000 – £50,000 for project management roles
